This eight hour, intensive woodworking class will introduce tools and techniques specific to traditional Windsor table making. You will build the side table while learning the art of laying out sight lines for drilling angled legs, cutting tapered mortise and tenon joinery, and turning legs on the lathe.
Once complete, you'll go home with a fully finished, high-quality Windsor side table that will be the perfect addition to any room. And the knowledge to return to the wood studio for your next project.
This class will be taught by local furniture and chair maker Seth Weizenecker who apprenticed under celebrated Windsor chairmaker Peter Galbert after completing the Bennet Street School Program in Fine Furniture Making in Boston. Some familiarity with woodworking is encouraged, but all skill levels are welcomed.
NOTE: This is a day full of woodworking, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to work. If you have any special accommodations, please let us know prior to the class.
