Intermediate Ceramics (I)

Building on the basics you learned in Intro to Ceramics, continue to explore throwing on the wheel. Students will expand on their wheel throwing skills with various throwing techniques with a focus on lidded vessels, such as jars and composite forms such as tea pots. This class will also introduce different surface decorations and glazing techniques. Students will leave this three week course with multiple pieces of their own creation.

This is an intermediate class that will dive right into more complicated forms, so previous wheel experience is required. We recommend taking Intro to Ceramics to learn the basics of wheel throwing before this class.
