Shared Studios

Shared Studios

Our shared studio memberships are designed to give artists and makers access to our shared equipment and materials on your own time. These memberships are a step above classes and are designed for those looking to have regular access to making, but not ready to build out a studio of their own. Studio memberships give you access to professional equipment, let you work on building the skills you've learned in classes and workshops, or give you the space to help bring your messy work out of your basement or your living room.

Ceramics

Memberships Available - $130/month

Our ceramics membership gives you 24/7 access to the ceramic studio, a shelf of storage space, use of all studio wheels, slab roller, tools and glazes, and space in group firings. All you need to provide is your own cone 5/6 clay to use. We ask that members have had some experience in ceramics (a class is a great start), but overall we look to create a ceramics community where members are learning and growing in their ceramics practices together.

This is ideal for those who have had an introductory course in ceramics and are looking to work on their skills, hobbyist, and small scale makers. If you are working on production ceramics, lets chat about dedicated studio space.

Print

Sessions Available - $75 Experienced First Session

Our Screen Printing Membership allows you access to the Screen Printing portion of our Print Studio. Our equipment includes a darkroom, washout sink, three-color T-shirt press, conveyor dryer, tabletop presses, workspace, and mobile print drying rack. We also have select inks, bases, emulsions, and screens, and our Digital Lab includes the Adobe Creative Suite and a transparency printer. Members must provide their own paper or fabric for printing.

For experienced screen printers, once on-boarded into the studio, sessions are $30 for four hours which includes studio ink/consumables and screen rentals at $26.25 each or $12 BYO-Screen burning (emulsion, transparencies, etc).

If you are new to the medium, get in touch about private, project-based printing classes to get you up to speed.

What’s included?

Your MAKEbhm membership will include access to all the equipment needed in your studio + wifi, coffee, access to the shared kitchen while you are here, and the option to join any MAKE Markets & shows when they are back on the calendar.

We do expect members to have a working knowledge of their studio, but we are here to answer questions as they come up. The shared studios are a great place to grow your practice & collaborate with other makers while doing so.
