Wednesdays, May 14 - June 11, 6 - 8pm
This is a 5-week class for the new or beginner-level sewist. During this course you will learn some foundational principles, basic sewing techniques, and how to print, assemble, and read an at-home pdf sewing pattern. In addition, you’ll learn some fabric basics, how to properly find your right fit using your measurements, and you’ll learn how to start building your own sewing kit. Whether you’ve never touched a sewing machine before or you want a refresher on the basics of sewing your own clothes at home, this will be a helpful class for you. The aim of this course is to give you a solid foundation in the basics of garment sewing that you will be able to build on as you grow in your sewing skills and confidence.
This class will require you to bring your own sewing machine & fabric (we'll send you info on how to pick fabric and what pattern we will be following) and purchase the pattern license. If you do not have a machine to bring, please let us know.
